I asked our oldest son to take the toad out of the box and set it in the grass so I could get a good picture of it.

The challenge at You Capture this week is "Get Down Low". You can't get much lower than this since I was lying on my belly in the grass when I took it!
Mr. Toad was very cooperative during his portrait session. I think he only hopped away from me once when I was taking his picture.
I asked Oldest Son to put Mr. Toad back in his temporary home when I was done photographing him. No, I did not want to touch the ugly little creature! Oldest Son had no qualms about it though!

Check out You Capture's "Get Down Low" photo challenge to get the low down on more pictures taken from down low.

Okay I LOVE the frogs! It reminds me of when I summer at my grandmas house...we would chase them all over her property!!!! I hope you don't mind another follower:)

Oh my goodness, that's the strangest toad I've ever seen. Great capture.
My brother and I used to do the same thing when we were kids. We thought we could catch bugs to feed it, the whole bit. Sadly...we usually didn't do enough. :( Love this shot!
love the toad shot! it's nice to know that I'm not the only one lying in the grass with my camera :o)
Oh come on now, he's not an "ugly little creature"! :) Your boy had the right idea, I think. I love Mr. Toad's close-up portrait.
